Nokia X50 Tipped To Bring 108mp Camera And Snapdragon 775 Chipset

HMD Global recently announced the launch of two Nokia 5G smartphones, namely the Nokia X10 and Nokia X20. Now it is reported that the company is planning to launch another 5G smartphone. The device will be announced in the third quarter of 2021.

While we wait for the successor to the Nokia 9 PureView, this phone may come with flagship specs, but under the hood you’ll likely get a Snapdragon 7 series processor. It could be a successor to the Nokia 8.3 5G that has probably been in the works for some time now.

The latest development comes from Nokia Power User who reports that Nokia may be developing a successor to the Nokia 8.3 5G, but which may bear a different name. Recently, Nokia smartphones have switched to the X series instead of the number strings in the naming scheme. Hence, the upcoming 5G mobile phone should be the Nokia X50. However, it has not been confirmed.

The Nokia X50 is said to be powered by an unannounced Snapdragon chipset. It could be powered by Snapdragon 775 / 775G chipset which has not yet been launched. Rumor has it that the SoC is a major upgrade over the Snapdragon 765G. It could have the model number SM7350.

In addition, the upcoming Nokia X50 will have a Penta rear camera that can be controlled by a 108-megapixel primary camera. The 108MP sensors are not uncommon at the moment. We saw this flagship spec slide into the mid-range thanks to Redmi and Realme. Other cameras on board can include ultra-wide angle, depth, macro, and telephoto sensors. In addition, the Nokia mobile phone, like the Nokia 8.3 5G, must have Zeiss optics and OZO audio technology.
