Call quality is reasonable. The volume of the headphones peaks at 84 dB, which is loud enough to be heard on busy streets. The test calls were correct, but with static and truncated words. Noise cancellation worked well in most conditions, but on a few phone calls, construction noise crept in.
The maximum speaker volume is 89dB, which can easily fill a room, but it sounds tiny and muddy at almost any volume. At higher volumes, there is noticeable noise and distortion. Fortunately, there is a 3.5mm jack and Bluetooth 5.0 for wired or wireless headphones.
The phone also supports dual-band Wi-Fi, but not NFC.

The Samsung Galaxy A10e is an attractive phone, but it doesn’t meet the basics. For the same price, you can get the Moto G7 Power, a phone that outperforms the A10e in just about every way, from performance to battery life. And if you’re willing to spend a bit more, the new Moto G Power ($ 250) is another step up and the best budget phone you can buy right now.
