Xiaomi has unveiled the new device called Xiaomi Mi 10S in China. In terms of design, the phone is reminiscent of the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra. In addition to the inclusion of the Snapdragon 870 chipset, the Mi 10S borrows the other specs from the Mi 10 5G phone which debuted in February 2020. It came with a starting price of 3,299 Yuan (~ $ 506) in China.
XIAOMI MI 10S DISPLAY SCREEN
This new smartphone features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD + resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. Like the newer flagships, it uses curved edges and a perforated screen. The punch hole is located in the upper left corner of the screen. In terms of dimensions, the device measures 162.6 x 74.8 x 8.96 mm and weighs 208 grams.
While the Mi 10S doesn’t have a 120Hz refresh rate, it does support a 90Hz refresh rate, which isn’t bad. Users of Xiaomi Mi 10S with 90Hz display device will receive good protection with the Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Other features of this display include a touch rate of 180 Hz, a brightness of 1120 nits, and a contrast ratio of 5000000: 1. It also supports a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut.
XIAOMI MI 10S HARDWARE
As we already know, Xiaomi Mi 10S comes with the new Snapdragon 870 SoC. This chip reaches a very high frequency of 3.2 GHz and AnTuTu’s execution score is over 690,000. Also, this phone is equipped with a super VC liquid cooling which regulates the temperature of the device. This device comes with 8GB / 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB / 256GB UFS 3.0 storage.
MI 10S BATTERY
Under the hood, this device uses a 4,780mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. In fact, this phone inherits triple fast charging from the Xiaomi Mi 10 series. It supports 30W wired flash fast charging, wireless flash fast charging 30W, and 10W wireless reverse charging. According to the company, the 33W wired fast charge provides a full charge in 56 minutes. Plus, the 30W wireless charging fully charges in 69 minutes.
XIAOMI MI 10S CAMERA
In terms of design, the Xiaomi Mi 10S rear camera module is very similar to the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra. It uses a vertical four-camera setup with an LED flash on the side. The main camera is a 108MP sensor that supports OIS support and an aperture of f / 1.69. This device also has a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth-of-field lens. The 108MP sensor supports 8K video recording at 30fps. At the front, this device uses a 20MP selfie shooter.
MI 10S SOFTWARE, AUDIO, AND OTHER FUNCTIONS
In terms of software, the Xiaomi Mi 10S comes with MIUI 12 on Android 11. In terms of audio, it supports Harman Kardon’s symmetrical stereo with dual speakers. This speaker supports a 360-degree surround sound experience. Other features include an in-screen fingerprint scanner, dual SIM, 5G, and Wi-Fi 6 support. It also supports Bluetooth 5.1, dual-frequency GPS, NFC, IR blaster, X-axis linear motor, and USB-C.

Mi 10S 5G has a 6.67-inch full HD + curved AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels, Corning Gorilla Glass 5-layer, 90Hz refresh rate, 19.5: 9 aspect ratio, HDR10 +, 1120nits brightness, P3 wide color field, a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera and a touch frequency of 180 Hz. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC coupled with Adreno 650 GPU, up to 12 GB LPDDR5 RAM, and 256 GB of expandable UFS 3.0 storage.
Mi 10S 5G runs on the Android 11-based MIUI 12 custom skin on top and includes a 4780 mAh battery with 33W wired charging, 30W wireless charging, and 10W reverse charging support. Connectivity options include 5G SA / NSA, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, GPS / Galileo and USB Type-C port.

As for the Xiaomi Mi 10s price, the 8GB RAM + 128GB memory variant will sell for 3,299 yuan ($ 506). Additionally, 8GB of RAM + 256GB of storage and 12GB of RAM + 256GB of storage are sold for 3499 yuan ($ 537) and 3799 yuan ($ 583).
The phone is now ready for pre-orders and the first sale is expected in China starting at 10 am on March 12th. Customers who pre-order the device will receive a 30W wireless charger in addition to other purchase benefits. Nothing is known about the global availability of the Mi 10S.
