The Galaxy A71 was one of the best-selling Samsung smartphones in 2021. It debuted with One UI 2.0 based on Android 10. Being a popular device, it got almost all of the company’s new features with numerous software updates last year. Now the phone is also receiving the One UI 3.1 update based on Android 11.
Samsung has been providing stable One UI 3.0 (Android 11) updates for eligible devices around the world since December 2020. In fact, the company pushed the multi-device update much sooner than expected.
However, the Galaxy A71 did not receive this update when its sibling Galaxy A51 started receiving it. Now that the South Korean tech giant has started seeing the One UI 3.1 minor update (debuted on the Galaxy S21 series) in its portfolio, the Galaxy A71 will be upgraded to this version directly from One UI 2.5, just like the Galaxy Tab S6.
The One UI 3.1 update for the Galaxy A71 is currently available in Poland, according to SamMobile. Software created for this region comes with the A715FXXU3BUB5 firmware and security patch for February 2021. The OTA update weighs in at approximately 2.7GB.
That said, we expect the company to expand the availability of this update to more regions in the coming days. If you have this device, go to Settings> Software update> Download and install to check if your device has received the update.
