Samsung may be preparing a super cheap 5G phone. It might even be cheaper than the $279 Galaxy A32 5G phone.
91mobiles shared photos of the phone named Samsung Galaxy A22 5G on May 14, 2021. Earlier, the website said it would cost around KRW 200,000 (USD 177/GBP 125). If true, that’s a steal for a phone that supports 5G cellular networks. Unfortunately, it will only be allowed to go to India and parts of Asia at launch.
The leaked images actually show that a 4G version with slightly different specs could also be in the works. The 5G model will reportedly feature a 6.4-inch LCD screen, MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, 6GB of RAM, and a rear triple camera array consisting of a 48-megapixel main/macro/depth sensor combination. The 4G model, on the other hand, has an additional rearview camera and an OLED screen instead of an LCD. Both offer 5,000 mAh batteries.
The Galaxy A22 5G would join other budgets 5G phones on the market, including the Realme 8 5G for £199 and the OnePlus Nord N10 5G, currently available for just £245. But the A22 5G would be the first option. which costs less than $200. Let’s hope it makes it to the US and UK.
