Samsung Explains How It Improved The Galaxy S21 Camera With The Latest Update

Samsung released new software updates for the Galaxy S21 quite quickly. It is not uncommon for the South Koran company to release new security updates before the beginning of the month. However, Galaxy S21 users seem to have an issue with the performance and lag of the camera app and the company has addressed these issues with a new update.

A Samsung community moderator mentioned on the company’s official forums that technicians managed to fix camera lag issues on the Galaxy S21. The June 2021 software update will include these fixes. The update also includes improvements to portrait mode and optimizations in memory usage when using high zoom levels. We can confirm that there is less lag when zooming in and out on the camera, but it’s still not perfect.

The company has also added a new feature that allows users to scan and recognize QR codes from images stored in the gallery. The usability and performance of the video call effect function have also been improved. However, it does not include improvements to the night mode camera. The company will announce more details about the June 2021 software update for the Galaxy S21 series in a few days.

These bug fixes and performance improvements may not be part of the first June 2021 firmware update released by Samsung in South Korea and the second firmware update released in a handful of countries. Samsung has been terribly slow to roll out the June patch for the Galaxy S21, and most countries have not yet received the update. The actual software update with these improvements may arrive in the coming days.
