Design and Exhibition
Infinix maintains the trend to manufacture recent smartphones in the market with a narrow design and compact design. The Infinix Hot 6 still belongs to the budget category with a plastic design typical of this sector of the market.
It looks long because of the aspect ratio of 18: 9 with the approximate use of the maximum space at the front. Two rear cameras are located in the upper left corner of the smartphone, while the fingerprint sensor is centered with the Infinix logo below.
There is a not very clear screen in its place, with dark bars surrounding it and a small bevel on one side. In addition, the screen is supported by TFT technology which, in my opinion, is not so modern. Face ID is a very interesting feature that has occupied a central place in the field of smartphones in recent times. The Hot 6 Facial Unlock feature allows you to unlock your device simply by looking at it. And in a low-end device, nothing less. Along with fingerprint and pattern/PIN/password, most users would consider that most of their security needs are covered.
Fingerprint takes up to 5 fingerprints, but this time the touch functions are limited to just unlocking the device, taking a photo and accepting a call. As for face unlocking, only one face ID is allowed at a time, and the best thing to do is to unlock the device. That being said, there is nothing easier than Facial Unlock. The double front LED flash even lends a hand in less than ideal lighting conditions. Frankly, it’s so easy to unlock your device, it’s ridiculous.
But here’s the thing. I do not know if it’s just me, or if other people have already faced a problem similar to what I have. I have noticed that someone can always overcome my Face ID security feature with ease. This is not a spy-studded super speaker or even a hacker. He is my own brother. Although it is debatable if we are very similar, the point is that it showed that it can unlock my Face ID by simply smiling. He did it with the Infinix S3 and now with the Infinix Hot 6.
Connectivity
The Hot 6 is a 3G device. For some people, this may be a deciding factor, but we really do not care. You do not always need 4G to be connected. Dirac 3D Stereo technology produces a rich, crystal-clear sound from the top and bottom speakers. Congratulations to Infinix because there was no sound distortion or maximum volume. Speaking of which, the total volume would be high indoors, but not so much outdoors.
Battery and power saving
The Infinix Hot 6 has a massive 4.000mAh battery. As a result of the power saving features of Android Go along with other system settings, including 3G exclusive connection, this battery should last about 2 days of regular use. Unfortunately, it seems like there is not a quick load thrown there. Hot 6 took a few hours to load us. The only salvation is that it takes a long time to finish, and for that, everything is forgiven.
Energy saving comes in two ways; the intelligent integrated power saving function and also the power saving with the Phone Master application pre-installed. In Phone Master, you’ll also find CPU Cooler, an ingenious feature that supposedly reduces the phone’s temperature to reduce battery stress.
Android Go
Infinix Hot 6 runs the Android edition Oreo 8.1 Go and a free token update for the latest Android operating system in the future. Android Go, recently released, is an Android version designed for speed. It takes up fewer system resources while maintaining agile performance regardless of device specifications (ROM, RAM, and processor).
As with other devices running Android Go, Infinix Hot 6 comes with Android Go apps. This includes Google Go, Go, Wizard, Gmail Go, Go Maps, YouTube Go and GBoard Go, among others. These are small versions that occupy less RAM and consume fewer data. At the end of the day, they leave a small footprint on your system while working as advertised.

This provides a decent gaming experience and fairly smooth performance combined with the rest of the hardware.
Infinix also has a more promising Infinix Hot 6 Pro, which sports a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor.
For the rest of the package, you have 2 GB models and 3 GB RAM with corresponding 16 GB, plus an internal storage of 32 GB. Both storage variants can be extended up to 128 GB using a memory card if you want more space. Infinix Hot 6 runs on the latest XOS Hummingbird 3.3 based on Android 8.0 Oreo.
