According to the news published on Sammobile and GSMArena; Samsung Galaxy M51 now receives One UI 3.1 update based on Android 11. According to them, Samsung makes many different smartphone models, but it’s also true that the company has been doing a good job with updates to Android 11 lately, apparently, every today, the update reaches a different model.
Today’s lucky is the Galaxy M51, which launched last year September with Android 10 with One UI 2.x. To date, the owners of this phone in Russia are honored with the release of the update to One UI 3.1, based on Android 11.
This is the latest version of both Google’s underlying operating system, but also the Samsung skin. However, this is the “core” One UI 3.1 experience, meant for low-end phones, which means that not all the bells and whistles seen on the flagships have necessarily made it through this iteration. You can read about Samsung One UI 3.1 update features here.
However, you do get Android 11 and the March 2021 security patches, again, the latest available. The new build currently being rolled out in Russia is labeled M515FXXU2CUB7. As usual, implementation is likely to take place in stages, so it may take a few days to reach all units present.
If you are impatient, go to Settings> Software Update and try to get lucky manually. If you are located somewhere outside of Russia and own an M51, hopefully, this means that the update will be on the way in due course.
