Redmi Note 9 Pro (joyeuse) Finally Gets The Android 11 Update

The Redmi Note 9 series made its global debut in India in March 2020. A month later, Xiaomi announced this lineup for Europe and other markets. Unlike the Redmi Note 9 Pro launched in India, this is another handset codenamed “Joyeuse” for other regions. This smartphone has finally started receiving the Android 11 update.

The Redmi Note 9 Pro (Joyeuse) was launched with MIUI 11 based on Android 10. Like most phones from Xiaomi Corporation, this device was updated to MIUI 12 last year.

However, for some reason, the company has only just started rolling out the Android 11 update. The Indian variant (curtana), also known as Redmi Note 9S, received this update in November 2020.

The Android 11 update Redmi Note 9 Pro (joyeuse) is currently live for the “Global” variant with the build number V12.0.1.0.RJZMIXM. Unsurprisingly, the software build is in the “stable beta” phase. This means that the update will be rolled out in batches.

Anyway, all units of the Redmi Note 9 Pro (joyeuse), including other regional variants such as EEA, Russia, Indonesia, Turkey, and Taiwan, should receive the Android 11 update in the coming days. In addition, this device is also suitable for the MIUI 12.5 update.
