Etisalat and Nokia partner on UAE’s ultra-fast 5G broadband
In partnership with Nokia, Etisalat is implementing an autonomous 5G network based on the Etisalat A3 architecture to deliver a premium customer experience as the ultra-high bandwidth and low latency of 5G enhances service offerings and changes business models. 5G functions enable innovative applications in areas such as virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR). In addition, the opportunities of Industry 4.0 are being addressed to enable companies to take advantage of various use cases of the Internet of Things (IoT) in areas such as energy, healthcare, education, transportation, and entertainment and to provide new revenue opportunities.

Nokia has launched its AirScale radio platform based on the 3GPP 5G New Radio (NR) standards. The network uses massive Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) radio technology to improve network capacity, provide wider coverage and increase network speed.
