Instagram to let users turn off commenting

Instagram is a shared mobile photo sharing, video sharing and social network service that allows users to take photos and videos and share them publicly or privately in the application, as well as through a variety of other social networking platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and Flickr.
Originally, a distinctive feature was that it limited the photos to a square shape, similar to the Kodak Instamatic and Polaroid SX-70 images, in contrast to the 4: 3 aspect ratio typically used by mobile device cameras.

In August 2015, version 7.5 was released, allowing users to upload captured media in any aspect ratio. Users can also apply digital filters to their images. The videos on the Instagram were released with a fixed resolution of 640×640 and a maximum limit of 15 seconds in June 2013; The resolutions now include up to 1080p from July 2015 and the length is now up to 60 seconds since January 2016. With the enhancement of Instagram Stories with newly created Live Video, users can create and share videos up to 60 Minutes.

In the midst of an increase in social negativity, the photo-sharing site is working to keep the Instagram “a safe and welcoming place for all”.

The Instagram maintains its impulse to be a friendlier social network.

In a post-Tuesday, co-founder and CEO Kevin Systrom said the social sharing network will allow users to turn off comments in any of their positions.

The resource, available only to some accounts at the time, will come “in the coming weeks,” he said. Users can re-comment after posting.

Instagram will also add the ability to enjoy comments by touching a heart icon next to any comment. This feature is now available on Facebook.

“These updates still mark the beginning,” he told System in the publication. “We will continue working to keep Instagram as a safe and welcoming place for everyone.”

The changes come three months after Facebook’s Instagram announced plans to provide new tools so people can filter offensive languages from comments in their postures.
